He is a Saiyan warrior from Planet Vegeta employed under the Galactic Frieza army, the husband of Gine and the father of Kakarot and Goku. He eventually begins to suspect that Frieza plans to destroy Planet Vegeta and decides to send the three year old Kakarot off to Earth to survive.
